I spent last night in W.M.C. Reason: I went to work yesterday feeling fine, and about 8 a.m. I was in a patient room taking vitals and all the sudden I had stabbing pains in my chest, and the pain radiated up my throat, and I had terrible pain in my jaws. I dismissed myself from the patient's room and barely made it to the nurses station. I saw one of my co-workers and I told her to go find Holly. The nurses came immediately and had me sit down. They took my vitals which were in triple digits and my pulse was as well. They tried having me sip water but it seemed to get blocked. 911 had been called the minute they saw me hanging onto the nurses station desk. The pain continued and was about a 9 on the scale of 1-10. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack. The Squad came and took me to WMC E.R. Holly left work and followed the Squad, and Heather was off and came down as well. They did a series of testing all day, evening and this morning and praise the Lord it is not heart related! I was experiencing spasms of the esophagus and also have a stomach ulcer which was causing the chest pain and trouble swallowing and pain in the throat and jaw. I was put on medication for this and released from the hospital mid day today. It's so good to be home with my daughters and all our furbabies. It's given me a new outlook on life and although it was not heart related, it showed how lucky I am! I love you all and want you to know, one never knows what the day will bring so never wait to tell those you love how you feel! I won't be on for a few days as I need to rest.
