Some of them, such as alcohol, come as no surprise. But there are some that are a shock such as fruit juices.
The best government is that which governs least, if at all.

Alcohol I knew and fruit and fruit juices come loaded with sugar some natural and some added.

I love salad and granola bars but  make sure whole grains— not sugar— are the first ingredients listed

Thanx , that was interesting. I was aware of most of them cause of the high sugar and /or sodium content.

I love salads but I always either use vinegar at home or out, I always have the dressing in a container over to the side.

 love it too but since I started getting it separate, one doesn't use as much and I still get my dressing fix'.
Also, about the juices, the ones you buy are mostly sugar , so if you can, make your own. Yeah you still get sugar but fruits have a natural sugar which , like the good fats (ie  in nuts) are actually good for you, in moderation, of course.
  Also, many aren't aware of  the foods like corn products, potatoes, etc. our body  recognizes  as sugar, so it's best to  stay away from these if possible in order  for our bodies glycemic index not to elevate  which can cause medical problems such as heart problems and swollen feet and/or legs which in turn can cause diabetes.
 In other words, it's best to shop the perimeter of the store and not to buy those foods that are highly processed like TV dinners and such. If time permits , might want to cook your own food and make up your own 'tv dinners" and freeze them. If time doesn't permit, slow cookers/crock pots are the answer. Don't have one? Lots of stores have affordable ones and tend to pay for themselves. Wouldn't it be nice to come home from  work or wherever and have a hot delicious meal waiting? Love potatoes, like me? Cauliflower can be used  just like potatoes plus if you like pizza, there are recipes online for a delicious cauliflower crust and really doesn't taste any different. Just can't stomach cauliflower? Just eat your normal pizza and/or potatoes but in moderation.

I love my slow cooker. If you don't have one, you can use a dutch oven but you can't leave it on the stove without checking out.

I stayed with for related articles.

I knew a lot of the info but some was things I eat a lot of...esp. certain fruits high in sugar.

I do not drink but the articles really drummed home the fact that alcohol and weight loss does not go together.
